PAVE – Parliament’s voice for Europe - Strengthening the role of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia in the EU accession process
The project "PAVE – Parliament’s voice for Europe - Strengthening the role of the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia in the EU accession process" aims to support the EU accession processes of the Republic of North Macedonia, specifically by providing capacity building for MPs and the Parliamentary staff. It will support Parliament in defining its role in the EU negotiations and taking on a more proactive approach to harmonization, peer learning and engaging the public.
Main activities:
- Capacity building and resource development for MPs and Parliamentary Staff
- Development of interactive e-learning modules on EU accession topics for Members of Parliament and the professional service.
- Production of digital tools and training materials to support continuous learning and institutional memory.
- Public engagement on the topic of EU accession processes.

Donor: The project is implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and is financed by Sweden, Switzerland and the Government of North Macedonia through the Ministry of European Affairs

Main goal:
PAVE will strengthen the capacities of the professional staff/service and MPs for the relevant processes to the EU accession, building on other EU experiences and actively engage the public.

- Strengthened capacities of the MPs and the parliamentary staff / service of the Parliament in Macedonia
- Development of online learning modules covering key EU accession topics tailored for MPs and parliamentary staff.
- Increased visibility of the Assembly in the EU accession process and its involvement with CSOs, media, academia and other entities that are part of the EU accession ecosystem in the country.
