The Center for Change Management - CUP implements the project "Socio-Economic Strengthening of Young Women in the North-Eastern Planning Region of RSM" financed by the European Union, through the "Support the Youth" project. The general goal of the project is to strengthen the socio-economic condition of young women from rural areas through the development of business models in the field of care economy. Through the implementation of the project, the Change Management Center contributes to encouraging the participation of young women in the formulation of local policies in order to better represent their interests and create a business climate that supports female entrepreneurship. Reducing the gap in gender inequality, followed by creating conditions for equal access to rights, protection from discrimination, career advancement and economic stability of women in rural areas are the main priorities that will be worked on in the project in order to ensure socio-economic development for young women in rural areas.
The analysis, which the Center for Change Management carried out within the framework of the project, detected the possibilities for greater economic activation of young women in the labor market by providing care services that are lacking in rural areas. The results and findings of the analysis indicate what social services are lacking in each of the municipalities included in the analysis, the skills and experiences that young women have to start their own business and the barriers that deter women from participating more actively in the creation of local policies. The recommendations resulting from the analysis aim to point out possible ways for municipalities to provide quality care services that will contribute to better outcomes for the health and well-being of individuals and families in rural areas.
