In conditions of intensive digitalization, transparency in the public sector means more than simply publishing documents. It means publishing detailed data in an appropriate and processable format, which is easily accessible, no more than three clicks away, i.e. open data. The term "government data" is also used as a synonym for the term "open data", and is defined as data from public institutions that anyone can freely access, use, modify and share for any purpose (provided that requirements that preserve origin and openness are respected).
