Public debate on service provision by the municipalities from the northeast region

A public debate on servise provision by the local self-governments was held in Kumanovo, where the research of the Center for Change Management resulting from monitoring the local self-governments was presented. The focus of the event was the results of the monitoring of the local self-governments from the northeast region on service provision, which was conducted by the civil society organisations Linda Kumanovo and Jef Macedonia. 

Representatives of local self-governments and civil society organisations from the region participated on the public debate.

The public debate was organized within the project "Monitoring Principles of Public Administration in Preserving Good Governance Values", funded by the European Union, and implemented by the Center for Change Management, in partnership with Management Consulting Agency MCA-2000 and the Center for investigative journalism SCOOP. 

The following conlusions resulted from the debate:

  • Improved administration of the statistics on realisation of administrative services (including e-services)
  • Standardisation of the procedure for collecting data by the officer in charge for free access to public information from the different departments in the municipality
  • Publishing of information for the officer in charge for free access to public information
  • Implementation of quality management standards - ISO 9001 and CAF
  • Use of the web sites for detailed informing of citizens, businesses and civil society.
