On September 23, 2022, at the Panorama Hotel, the CCM organized the conference "Improving the system for access to public information". The conference talked about proactive transparency of institutions as a prerequisite for accountability and the fight against corruption, and transparency as a thread of democratic processes.
The conference is organized in cooperation with the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of policies for good governance Mrs. Slavica Grkovska and the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Info. of a public nature and within the framework of the project "Encouraging good governance and reforms in public administration" implemented by CUP and supported by the National Endowment for Democracy
An analysis of the information that citizens most often seek through the mechanism for free access to public information was presented, which was divided into 37 areas. At the same time, the attendees get acquainted with the draft Guidelines for improving the transparency of public sector institutions prepared by the CCM the final version of which will soon be publicly shared on our website www.cup.org.mk.
Within the framework of the conference, two panel discussions were presented, the first with representatives of the institutions and the second with representatives of the civil and academic sectors. The panels presented good practices, previous results and opportunities for improving the system for free access to public information.
