Last week, the final event of the “Y-O Model” project was held in Tirana, which was implemented by a consortium of civil society organizations from Albania, Macedonia, Italy and Kosovo, with the main goal of strengthening youth participation in policy-making processes through activities aimed at research, trainings to strengthen knowledge, networking events with relevant institutions and study visits to relevant institutions in the countries of the partner organizations.
At the final event, young participants in the project had the opportunity to present their  research papers on topics of interest to young people, which also contain practical recommendations that decision-makers can take into account.
Four research papers were presented on topics related to youth unemployment, mental health, political participation and political culture of young people.
Marko Danailovski and Mila Dinkovska, as part of the team of young researchers from Macedonia, presented the research paper on the topic “Alternative Ways to Address Youth Unemployment”.
During the first day of the closing event, a study visit was organized to the Youth Agency of the Republic of Albania, where the young participants had the opportunity to share experiences and views with the representatives of the agency in the implementation of youth policies, as possible solutions for their improvement.
This project created a basis for further inclusion of young people in the work of organizations and institutions, with the ultimate goal of strengthening their political culture and role in society.
