Lecture on the European Administrative Space for representatives of public sector institutions

Date: 17.12.2025

Representatives from central public sector institutions had the opportunity to attend an interesting lecture on the topic of "European Administrative Space", which was held by Prof. Dr. Jean-Michel Eymeri-Douzans, an expert in public administration and good governance.

The lecture covered the following key aspects:

- Challenges of public administration in the process of European integration,
- The role of public administration of the member states in the application of EU law,
- The characteristics of EU law for guaranteeing "good administration" and protection of human rights in relation to the administration,
- Characteristics of administrative cooperation between states,
- The new challenges of the European Administrative Space,
- The challenges of the Macedonian system in the process of harmonization with the standards of the European Administrative Space.

The public administration will need to focus more on these aspects both to improve the process of European integration and to improve the services it delivers to citizens.

The lecture was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Public Administration, the General Secretariat of the Government, the Secretariat for Legislation, the Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, the Agency for Administration, the Inspection Council and the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information.

The lecture was organized within the framework of the project "Support for the establishment of an academy for training and professional development of administrative officials", which is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of France.
