Within the framework of the project "Reinventing Governance" which the Center for Change Management (CCM) is implementing in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom through the British Embassy in Skopje, we organized a panel discussion and a working session with the officials from the strategic planning departments of line ministries and secretariats.

Speakers at the panel discussion were the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies Slavica Grkovska, the Secretary General of the Government Metodija Dimovski, the Ambassador of the Government of the United Kingdom in the Republic of North Macedonia H.E. Matthew Lawson and CCCM Executive Director Neda Maleska Sachmaroska.

The speeches of the panelists addressed the current challenges of the Government, not only political but also technological. They talked about the long-term support of the Government of the United Kingdom for the improvement of good governance processes and the reform of public administration in RNM and their commitment to further cooperation with the civil sector and institutions.

It was emphasized that the project "Reinventing Governance" is also important in the context of European integrations, in the sense that it contributes to the strengthening of functional institutions, which will quickly adapt to changes and deliver results for citizens.

The second part of the event was dedicated to the officials from the strategic planning departments of the ministries and secretariats of the Government. Through group discussions, issues related to strategic planning processes were addressed with a focus on solutions to improve and strengthen the efficiency of those processes.
The issues that were addressed were related to the improvement of coordination between institutions at the central level, the application of specific indicators when measuring the results of the implementation of public policies, the harmonization of strategic priorities, goals and measures, and similar issues related to strategic planning processes.
