Regional training for trainers on integrating gender aspects into policies and budgets

CCM in cooperation with GIZ North Macedonia and the Ministry of Social Policy, Democracy and Youth (MSPDY) conducted a training of trainers on integrating gender aspects into policies and budgets, for representatives of the administrations of the countries in the region (North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania).

The training consists of two cycles, which were held on 25-28 August and 18-21 November at the premises of the Sectoral Center for Gender Responsive Policy and Budgeting.

Within the first cycle of the training, the participants learned about the basic concepts of the policy and budgeting process and how the gender perspective is included in this process, in order to create inclusive public policies that will respond to the needs of women and girls in society. Also, this part of the training included the skills that an effective trainer should possess.

Within the second cycle of the training, the participants acquired knowledge and skills that will help them be effective trainers. The participants had the opportunity to learn the basic principles of adult learning, methods and techniques of participatory training, to learn how to develop a training program and training session, as well as to participate in the delivery of a micro session with the support of the trainers. The training was conducted by public policy experts from the CCM, Neda Maleska Sachmaroska, Iskra Belcheva Ristovska and Branka Mincheva Kocevska.
