On 09.05.2023, at the Holiday Inn hotel in Skopje, the Center for Change Management (CCM) organized the workshop on "Coordination of policies by the Center of Government", for over 50 representatives/civil servants from 16 ministries and 2 secretariats from the sectors for strategic and financial planning.

The participants had the opportunity to hear the positive practices of the United Kingdom Government on the processes of strategic planning and coordination of public policies, presented by the expert Simon James from the Office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

The main focus was placed on the coordination of public policies by the "Center of Government", as a concept that enables more efficient and effective planning and implementation of public policies in the direction of improving the lives of the citizens.

Together we discussed the challenges of the Macedonian system of strategic planning and coordination of the work of the central institutions against the practice in the United Kingdom, reflecting what we can apply in the Macedonian context in order to strengthen the processes.

The CCM continuously works on improving management in the public sector in order to address needs and deliver results for citizens, and this period a special focus is placed on strategic planning processes.

The event is organized within the framework of the "Reinventing Governance" project, which is implemented by the Change Management Center in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and is supported by the British Embassy Skopje.
