Following the principle of subsidiarity, the goal is for citizens to participate in decision-making on essential issues through elected representatives in municipal councils and directly, through their involvement and through the use of legally established mechanisms - referendum, civic initiative, citizen gathering, complaints and proposals, and their impact can be achieved through the use of the right to free access to public information.
