This publication integrates 10 researches on the topic of “public services” - their design, delivery method, satisfaction of the citizens and problems that the citizens face. The purpose of this collection of research is to provide an overview of all identified problems, findings, but also recommendations from researchers to improve the delivery of services in several fields. The recommendations provide a basis for initial steps to improve some of the analyzed services, and to open a public discussion on the modernization of services for citizens. The Assembly is obliged to supervise the work of public institutions from the functional, financial and aspect of implementation of the planned reforms, and hence the delivery of services to users. Therefore, the basis for oversight hearings can be data and information from civil society organizations. Such synergy is not only a modern way of broadly involving citizens in policy-making and monitoring, but also presents a jointly enhanced impact on the implementation of reforms for the benefit of citizens. The research was prepared by representatives of local civic organizations within the Work Programme: Improved service delivery for citizens by active engagement of the Assembly, funded by the European Union and co-financed by the program Civika Мobilitas.
