The open data strategy defines strategic goals with which it will encourage the publication and usage of open data, with the goal of increasing the transparency and  accountability of state institutions, improvements in the quality of the services they offer while at the same time encouraging innovations. This in turn will contribute to an economic development and development of society as a whole. The open data strategy has a goal to create a dynamic ecosystem of open data in which the data is created, opened, enriched and is used again by different stakeholders of the public, private, academic and civic sector. This will lead to improvements in the delivery of services and the efficiency of the public sector, increase in citizen participation, as well as supporting the effors in the fight against corruption and contribution in the creation of an innovative climate with new economic opportunities for the business sector.
