The deadline for receiving applications from the CSO’s for the call for the formation of the network for improvement of the public services has been prolonged

The Center for change management and the association for development initiatives “Zenith” are prolonging the deadline for receiving applications from the CSO’s for participation in the network for improvement of the public services.

The interested civil society organizations can apply for participation in the network, at the latest until 09.03.2018, and they need to send the following:

  • Portfolio of the organization with the previous projects and activities in the area of the public administration and/or the public servies and
  • Nomination of one person which will take part in the activities of the project, with details of his/her experience in the areas of public administration and/or public services.

The portfolio of the organization and the nomination of one person should be sent to the following e-mail address: iskra.belcheva@cup.org.mkand todoroski@zenith.org.mk, at the latest until 02.03.2018.

The representatives of the organizations that will be chosen for participation in the network will be informed towards the end of March 2018.

The purpose of the network is to create a dialogue and cooperation between the civil society organisations and the public institutions for improvement of the public services, as well as for joint implementation of measures from the Strategy of reforms of the public administration 2018 – 2022, in the part focused on the delivery of the public services. The Ministry for information society and administration supported the initiative and expressed their readiness for cooperation with the network of civil society organization, in accordance with the position of the government for openness and inclusiveness in the creation of the public policies.

This call is open for all interested civil society organizations that have previous experience in the activities related with research, monitoring or demanding changes sin the public administration, with the focus on the delivery of the public services in different sectors. The advantage will be given to the organizations that are established in other cities then the capital. The organizations that will be selected for participation in the network will have the chance to strengthen their capacities for citizen mobilization, monitoring, representing and informing the citizens regarding the delivery of the public services, as well as the possibility for development of the ideas for innovative IT solution for advancement of the work of the network. More specifically, the organizations will be part of the following activities:

 

  • Two workshops, where the representatives of the state institutions will participate in addition to the civil society organizations;
  • Consultative meetings of the network of the civil society organization;
  • Debate for improvement of the delivery of the public services;
  • Development of an innovative IT solution as a tool for support of the work of the network;
  • Promotional activities as a part of the project

 

As a part of the workshops, a competition for the most innovative IT solution in the area of the public services will be organized. Based on the best idea, which will be chosen from the organizations which are implementing the project in a cooperation with the members of the network, a tool will be created that will have mechanisms for including and informing the civivil society organizations and the citizens regarding the delivery of the public services. The ideas can be in shape of web applications or applications for smart phones and they should be related with providing information concerning the delivery of the public services, the monitoring of the quality and the satisfaction of the users, the creation of a public space for giving opinions for possible improvements in the delivery of the public services and other relevant topics.

This call is a part of the project “Citizen-centric approach to delivery of public services”, financed by the European Union and implemented by the Center for change management (CCM) and the Association for development initiatives Zenith.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the inclusion of the civil society in the reform of the public administration, with the focus on the improvement of the system for delivery of the public services, one of the conditions for efficient and citizen-centric public administration.
