In Ohrid from 15 to 17 February 2017 the three-day training on The concept of Open Data and Open Government Partnership was held.
Participants included civil society organizations and representatives of local governments from several towns in Macedonia which successfully generated dialogue between different social actors. The trainers shared their knowledge on the following topics:
- Open Data and Open Government Partnership (meaning open data hence Open Government Partnership, best practices of countries in Western Europe and the conditions in the Republic of Macedonia
- Budgeting by units of local government (participatory budgeting, program budgeting)
- Means of communication with the public (building communication strategy and ways of dissemination of data) as well as the principles of participation for public to take part in decision-making.
