Basic training on gender-responsive budgeting and its application in sector policies and programs

CCM continuously implements trainings in the Resource Center for Gender Responsive Policymaking and Budgeting, which covers the issues of - How is the state budget created and how to include the gender perspective? What is gender responsive budgeting? How is the Gender Budget Statement prepared?
These are some of the issues regarding gender responsive budgeting and its application in sector policies and programs.

From June 2 to 3, 2022, the basic training on gender-responsive budgeting and its application in sector policies and programs was carried out.

This training was led by Dr. Branka Mincheva Kocevska and covered basic terms and definitions in the field, how gender equality is an integral part of sustainable development and the Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability Framework (PEFA) as well as the budget cycle and gender entry points. responsible budgeting.

Through exercises, the participants practically got acquainted with this matter, during which they produced gender budget analyzes and statements, as well as defined gender indicators and a framework for monitoring, evaluation and reporting for gender-responsive budgeting.

The resource center works as part of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy supported by UN Women Skopje within the project "Promoting Gender Responsive Policies and Budgets: Towards Transparent, Inclusive and Accountable Governance in the Republic of North Macedonia".
