The program coordinator of the Center for Change Management (CCM) Iskra Belcheva Ristovska, participant of the Forum of civil society organizations and think tanks within the framework of the Berlin process (#CSF2022) organized by Aspen Institute Germany and Südosteuropa-Gesellschaft e.V.
Several topics of great social importance were covered at the Forum. Specifically, the topics of energy efficiency, climate change and sustainable development were discussed. The topics of freedom of speech and media and false information, as challenges of democratic societies, were also covered. Due to the turbulent past of the Western Balkan countries, the topics of reconciliation and dealing with the past were also covered. all these topics were discussed by prominent representatives of civil society organizations from the countries of the Western Balkans and the EU.
One of the messages highlighted at the Forum was that - Civil organizations from the Western Balkans contribute to the fulfillment of the goals of the Berlin Process with their expertise. But they can also create a positive image for the region in front of citizens and decision makers in the EU.
