Аs part of the project “Monitoring Principles of Public Administration in Preserving Good Governance Values”, today in Public Room an event was held for the signing of the agreements for grants with 14 grant recipients.
This project is financed by the European Union and is being implemented by the Center for change management in partnership with the association for management consulting MCA-2000 and the Center for investigative journalism SCOOP Macedonia.
The goal of this project is the development of the standards for good governance in the local self-government, on the basis of the already established standards for good governance by SIGMA and the European Commission, the so-called “Principles of public administration” and monitoring of the implementation of the new standards for good governance by the local governments.
The event was attended by the representatives of the grant recipients who will analyze the work of the local self-governments in the Republic of Macedonia, from the perspective of implementation of the standards for good governance, which in turn will also help in the process of identifying the opportunities for improving the work of the local self-governments.
Through a process of dialogue and cooperation with the local government and the Ministry for Local self-government, the goal of this project is to improve the quality of the work of the local governments, i.e. the services they provide for the citizens.
