The Center for change management and the Ministry for information society and administration today held the opening day for the two-days long discussions of the focus groups from a number of Ministries regarding the regulatory impact assessment (RIA), which is one of the components of the project “Support for the process of reforms of the public administration”.

The debate and the discussions in the Hotel Solun today were focused on the process of planning and implementation of the regulatory impact assessment in the ministries; on the capacities for implementation of the analyses as a part of the process for RIA; the challenges regarding the process of RIA and preparation of the report for RIA, as well as the next steps that should be undertaken for improving the quality of the process and analyses.

Representatives from the ministries of finance, interior affairs, health, as well as information society and administration were part of the first focus group, while the second focus group had members from the ministries of defense, labor and social policy and the ministry of justice.

The two day long meetings of the focus groups will also continue tomorrow as well, with the participation of the representatives of ministries of economy, environment and physical planning, local self-government and the ministry of foreign affairs.
