Institutional memory and knowledge sharing in the public sector

Date: 01.06.2020

МожеCan the public administration serve the citizens in times of crisis when it is necessary to work from home?

- Was the public sector ready to work electronically and remotely?

CCM through a request for free access to public information, conducted a survey on topic-preserve and share knowledge in public sector institutions.

The answers are not particularly encouraging. Of the 101 institutions that submitted a response, only 9 noted that they had a Document Management System. In terms of where they store the electronic documents on which they work on a daily basis, the answers show that high 74.16% keep the documents, only, locally on their computer.

Knowledge sharing is very important. It enables the state through its institutions to deal effectively in situations where it may even be a matter of life and death, such as the current situation with Covid-19.
