Programme goals

The aim of the training is to develop awareness of interpersonal conflicts as an inseparable part of interpersonal relationships and the need to solve them and gain knowledge and skills for their effective overcoming.

Through the training, the participants will understand that conflicts are inevitable and are a normal part of everyday work. Training is a step that will allow them to start creating a climate for effective interpersonal communication and a collaborative approach to conflict resolution, rather than avoiding or violently resolving it.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand that if managed properly, conflicts can improve relationships rather than make them worse;
  • Gain skills in reforming interpersonal conflicts
  • To gain an understanding of constructive and destructive conflicts and their management
  • To see the difference between aggressive, passive-aggressive and assertive behavior
  • Gain knowledge of the importance of communication as a tool in conflict resolution
  • To understand the meaning and gain skills for the use of “I” statements (I stents) in a situation of conflict and dealing with problematic personalities;
  • To understand the process of mediation in conflict
  • Gain basic mediation skills in conflicts
