Programme goals

The objectives of the training are to understand the differences - having different views, ideas, values and behaviors, as a starting point for moving towards a common interest. Through the interaction of diversity, it is possible to reach new solutions and find new principles for acting in improving policies and strategies in the work of public administration. They are based on equality, dignity and equal rights.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training the participants will:

  • Еnrich their knowledge with different concepts of intercultural and intercultural learning, especially for work in multiethnic environments
  • Gain practical knowledge of intercultural learning (minorities, cultural diversity, inclusion against discrimination, exclusion, tolerance)
  • Recognize how the identity of the individual and the group is built and how important it is for identity differences to be respected, especially in multicultural work
  • Recognize stereotypes, prejudices as a source of divisions and be able to learn and find specific methods for overcoming them in different cultural environments, with a special Focus on their daily work
  • Develop / improve intercultural communication skills
