Programme goals

The aim of the program is for the participants to get acquainted with the framework of general work competencies, which are the advantages of managing a system based on competencies and the way of their identification and upgrading in employees.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training the participants will:

  • have knowledge of the scope of general work competencies as well as special work competencies;
  • have an understanding of why competencies are important and what are the advantages of having a competency management system, as well as the benefits of employees and top management in terms of their development.
  • recognize how important competencies are in hiring, promoting, evaluating employee performance and improving them.

Programme content

  • What are work competencies, definition and indicators;
  • Introduction to the general 9 work competencies defined in the competency framework, as well as special work competencies;
  • Levels of general work competencies according to the job (primary, secondary and advanced level)
  • The benefits of introducing a system of competencies and thus improving the procedures for: selection and employment, promotion, evaluation of the effect of work and professional development;

Vesna Bochvarska Cvetkovska

Vesna Bochvarska Cvetkovska holds a Master in South East European Law and European Integration obtained at the Karl Franzes University in Graz, Austria with Master thesis on: “Public Administration Reforms during the previous decade”. Since 2012, she is certified trainer, as well as external evaluator on CAF - model for quality management for public administration and was engaged to implement the model in several governmental institutions and municipalities during the previous years.
