Programme goals

The basis of a successful presentation is the participatory approach and the interaction between the presenter and the listeners. The presenter is expected to make the presentation with an interesting and dynamic approach that will arouse interest in the follow-up and encourage the audience to actively participate in the discussion that follows.

Presentation techniques, or presentation skills, are the first methodological element of the skills domain of this course.

The purpose of this training is for participants to gain theoretical knowledge, skills and tools to perform a successful presentation.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training, the participants will be able to:

  • Design, plan and implement a successful presentation;
  • Focus on the key message of the presentation and structure an effective presentation;
  • Apply basic techniques for powerful presentation;
  • Effectively use Power Point, dashboard, flipchart, cards and other visual aids;
  • Practice and demonstrate effective use of voice and body language;
  • Use questions and answers to encourage and support the course of the presentation;
  • To prepare and deliver presentations independently.

Programme content

  • Preparation of a presentation (structure and elements of a successful presentation)
  • Elements of successfully overcoming fear and anxiety before a public appearance
  • Realizing relationships with listeners
  • Nonverbal communication (attitude, gesture, facial expressions, etc.)
  • Use of space
  • Visual aids (selection and use)
  • Use of questions and answers
  • Practical part, preparation of a presentation on a given topic (each participant will receive a video of their performance)
