Programme goals

The aim of the training is to define ideas and hypotheses relevant to the promotion of gender equality within the subject of analysis.

During the training, the focus is on certain parameters which, if the research takes into account, the differences between men and women in the results will be representative.

Contribution towards development of knowledge, skills and competences

At the end of the training the participants will:

  • Improve understanding of gender and research
  • Encourage consideration on how to incorporate the gender dimension through research
  • Be able to initiate research to address gender inequalities and contribute to greater equality.
  • Be able to make the research relevant to different groups in society

Programme content

  • Introductory session on gender concepts and inclusion of gender concepts in general policies
  • Analysis of policies and their impact from a gender perspective
  • Use of gender-divided statistics in research
  • Understanding the gender aspects of the research cycle
  • Gender aspects as a sign of excellence in research - how to do research gender responsibly
  • Case study - specific policies, analysis of gender aspects
